Description

The Adirondack Guide boats were used in the outback of North America in the 19th and early 20th Centuries for hunting, portaging etc and have a very distinctive shape with fairly pinched bow/stern sections and slack bilge shape. Beam was kept low so that they were often rowed with a cross handed. Construction is shown for both simple stitch and tape and clinker/ply construction.
