It may look similar to some of my other designs, and it is, but it differs in one important aspect, the basic hull is primarily constructed from just a single sheet of 1/4" plywood. This lone occupant hull weighs only 30 pounds, and nests to a 4' x 2.5' x 1.5' storage size. And it was designed with the builder in mind who cannot transport a boat greater than 3 feet wide. So, why build this design? Well, it's less costly, simple to build, and acts more like a Kayak than a Punt. It paddles effortlessly with minimal wake, can accept a trolling motor, and will also fit in almost any car. But, equally important, it is fun. Fun to build and fun to use. So get busy, start construction today! Note: An optional 27 inch long center module can be added for a second smaller occupant, or pet, increasing buoyancy by about 80 pounds! It also allows for a true Duckboat option.
